Materials and Methods for Surface Cleaning and Removal of Film-Forming Materials

This three-part theoretical-practical webinar explores fundamental principles and practical approaches to surface cleaning and the removal of film-forming materials in conservation.

Each session lasts 6–7 hours and combines theoretical discussion with practical demonstrations. The focus is on polychrome artworks, including paintings on movable supports, wooden sculpture and oil on paper.

The course is intentionally set at a basic level and is open exclusively to conservators, conservation assistants and students in conservation and restoration programmes.
