Students in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Amsterdam will help clean Peter Struycken’s monumental artwork Blue Waves (1977) in order to reveal its beauty to the Municipality of Arnhem. The goal is to have the city change their plans to demolish their iconic artwork into plans to integrate Blue Waves in their ‘Creative Corridor’ in consultation with Dutch artist Peter Struycken (1939). Blue Waves is of important significance to our Dutch cultural heritage and one of the largest outdoor artworks of Europe.
