The Getty Conservation Institute and the Yale Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) together with the Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL), present the 2016 XRF Boot Camp at SRAL and the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

The 2016 XRF Boot Camp is the third in an ongoing series of workshops on X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy developed by the Yale Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and the Getty Conservation Institute. Confirmed instructors for the Boot Camp include:

The workshop is open to eighteen participants. Preference will be given to applicants who have some experience with and/or are responsible for operating handheld XRF spectrometers for their institutions.


The workshop fee of €750 covers the cost of course notes, workbooks, materials, and catering (coffee breaks and reception). Participants are responsible for all travel and lodging costs. For accepted participants, registration and payment of fees must be completed by August 5, 2016.
