Participate in “Ask a Conservator Day” on November 4th

Join us for our third annual Ask a Conservator Day on November 4th, 2021. Ask a Conservator Day is an opportunity for conservation and preservation professionals to demonstrate the incredible ways our community works to preserve cultural heritage. By using the hashtag #AskAConservator on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, conservators and preservation professionals can provide insights into the field, reaching prospective emerging professionals, arts aficionados, and people totally unfamiliar with conservation.

Ask Me Anything
We’re also holding an “Ask Me Anything” style panel on the same day, November 4th! We’ll be gathering questions in advance and answering live questions from our followers. While we’ll be assembling a panel, we encourage everyone to respond to the questions we’ll be posing! Please also submit your questions about conservation for the panel to answer: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ConservatorAMA.

We Need Your Help
Please promote this event on your social media accounts and participate in any way that feels appropriate. For professionals in the field, a few ideas include answering questions about conservation on your personal social media, working with your institution to use their social media handles to engage with their audiences, or answering questions on a livestream from your lab or workspace. We’ll be sharing the content you create, amplifying your reach and showcasing your work! For those interested in conservation and still learning, you can follow the hashtag and ask questions and encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same!

Find more information on our website, including sample posts and graphics you can use in promoting the event. And, contact FAIC Outreach Coordinator Katelin Lee, klee@culturalheritage.org, with any questions.
